Jacob Larison, NCARB Founding Principal

A graduate of The University of Arkansas - Fay Jones School of Architecture.  Jacob Larison is the founding principal of Studio 26 Architects. His nine year career as an architect spans some of the region’s most respected firms, giving him a deep foundation in technical building types and a refined eye for design‑forward environments.

Jacob began his architectural journey at HMN Architects, where he developed expertise in both hospitals and healthcare environments as well as criminal justice design.  His involvement in healthcare projects exposed him to clinical workflows, patient‑centered planning, and the regulatory demands of medical facilities. Also, his work on sheriff’s offices, jails, courts and justice facilities strengthened his command of complex programming, secure circulation, and operational efficiency.

He expanded his healthcare portfolio further at ACI Boland, deepening his understanding of healing environments. This period sharpened his ability to design spaces that balance technical precision with human‑centered care.

Jacob later joined Clockwork Architecture and Design, where he transitioned into general practice with an emphasis on high‑design, experience‑driven architecture in commercial, multi-family, mixed use and residential environments. This chapter allowed him to merge his technical background with a more expressive design sensibility—crafting environments that elevate brand, culture, and living.

Today, as the owner and principal of Studio 26 Architects, Jacob brings this full spectrum of expertise to clients seeking architecture that is both beautiful and deeply functional. While the firm is currently a boutique practice, his vision is to grow Studio 26 with a collaborative spirit, refined aesthetic, and commitment to delivering spaces that genuinely improve the way people live, work, and connect.
